What should you expect from your Post-Operative Care at Bodylogics?
This answer is easy. You should expect the highest level of care and attention that you deserve. Here at Bodylogics we have worked hard to ensure you are provided with all the information you need before you even visit us. We make our treatment protocols clear for you to see so you can judge your progress. Our treatment protocols are based on evidence based research as well as our own clinical experience.
These protocols also give you a realistic expectation of how long things should take to get better. It is worth noting here though that every individual is unique and will respond and adapt in different ways to certain stimuli. That being said, we are confident that our skills and knowledge will have you meeting these targets outlined in our treatment protocols in line with expectations.

Total Knee Arthroplasty (also known as Total Knee Replacement).
The decision to undertake Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) is one of great magnitude. Pain and reduced function can lead to other, more damaging, effects on our lives such as lower self-esteem and anxiety/depression. TKA is often a great way to give a new lease of life and get back to doing what you love best.
That being said, the surgery on itself is only the first part of your journey. TKA often require long rehabilitation processes but the good news is that this begins the moment you come out of the operating theatre.
Our TKA protocol of what to expect is outlined below. We haven’t put what exercise you would be doing to achieve these goals as each of us are unique and individual, so we work around your strengths and limitations in order to achieve the same end goal. Take a look for yourself and explore the information provided and then feel free to contact us if you wish to discuss anything further.

Ankle Surgery.
One of the most common surgical procedures is ankle surgery which is a result of a traumatic incident or from chronic instability. There are various forms of ankle surgery that may take place ranging from corrective surgery for ligament issues to fusion operations to create longer term stability (but often at the expense of free movement).
Your decision to undertake this surgical procedure is often based on a number of factors, but whatever those factors are, our job is to ensure you make the best recovery possible and get back to doing what you love most. Over the years our team have treated a number of ex-professional athletes who include football, rugby and tennis players all the way through to track and field athletes who have gone on to compete at the international stage again.
Our previous success rate in rehabilitating these injuries is second to none and our team of experts are perfectly equipped to help you deal with your recovery and set you on the right path to success.

Total Hip Arthroplasty (also known as Total Hip Replacement).
Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) is a huge operation. If you have ever watched this live in the operating theatre then you will see the level of trauma that occurs in this operation. That being said, outcomes of this surgical procedure are exceptionally high and that is partly down to surgical techniques which are better than ever but also a greater understanding of the rehabilitation required after and what we should and should not be doing post-surgery.
Here are Bodylogics we have developed a leading protocol which has been adapted and developed over the years to match existing research and evidence based practice and we are proud to say is now used amongst some of the leading orthopaedic clinics and surgeries in the UK. Our approach to care is robust and an industry leader and we take great pride in being able to share our goal setting targets to give you a better idea and overview of what to expect when visiting us here at Bodylogics.
