How to Use Your Insurance at Bodylogics — Step by Step
Step 1:
Check Your Policy
Contact your insurer to check what you’re covered for. Most policies include physiotherapy or musculoskeletal treatment, such as massage (it is important to note we use massage as part of our physiotherapy treatment and most ‘massage therapists’ ARE NOT COVERED’ by private healthcare.
Some insurers require a GP or consultant referral before treatment begins.
Step 2:
Get an Authorisation Code
Once approved, your insurer will issue an authorisation code. This allows us to invoice them directly and ensures your sessions are covered.
Step 3:
Contact Our Team. Call or email Bodylogics with:
- Your authorisation code
- Your membership or policy number
- The name of your insurer
We’ll confirm your booking and explain how your treatment will be delivered.
Step 4:
Begin Treatment
Attend your initial consultation and start a structured plan designed to meet your recovery goals. We’ll manage all invoicing and communication with your insurer as treatment progresses.
Understanding Excess Payments
Some insurance policies include an annual excess, which is an amount you agree to pay yourself before your insurer covers the remaining treatment costs. If this applies to your policy, our team will explain:
- How much your excess is
- When and how to make the payment
- How this affects your overall cover
There are no hidden fees – we’ll always confirm any charges we need to make but this will be directed from your insurance provider in the first instance, we just follow up on their information provided to us.
Why Use Your Insurance?
Each year, thousands of policyholders miss out on treatments they’re entitled to. Whether you pay for your own cover or receive it as part of your employment package, these benefits are there to support your health – and we’re here to help you make the most of them.
If you don’t use your benefits, you lose them. Let us help you access the expert care you’re already paying for.

Home Visits
To ensure transparency and a smooth experience for your recovery, we want to clarify how private healthcare coverage works for our specialist home visit service. While many leading insurance providers do cover physiotherapy within a home setting, it is essential that you check with your specific provider before your initial assessment.
Please note that the billing process for home visits differs from our standard in-clinic procedure. While our clinics have direct working agreements and established billing relationships that allow us to manage the paperwork for you, home-based treatments typically require you to pay the full fee upfront. You can then use your Bodylogics receipt to claim the cost back directly from your insurer. Taking a moment to confirm your policy’s “Home Visit” coverage ensures you have total clarity on your roadmap to recovery without any administrative surprises.
