Neurological conditions are often associated with tingling sensations, numbness, sharp shooting pain or referred pain away from the site of suspected injury. These symptoms are very common and usual but actual neuropathy (as it is known medically) is actually quite rare. True neuropathy usually presents with a much wider set of symptoms alongside the ones mentioned already.
When suffering from the symptoms mentioned here or more then it is important that you do get checked by your healthcare professional. Although we say it is rare to have true neuropathy, that is not to say it does not ever happen.
Our Approach to Care
There are a number of simple tests that can be undertaken to see if your symptoms can be managed conservatively (which they often can) or if they require further tests within a hospital (they often don’t due to the rarity of the condition).
If you are unsure about anything we have spoken about here then please do not hesitate to contact us at Bodylogics and a member of our Team will be able to speak with you.
