    About Me:

Hi, I’m Grace, an HCPC registered Physiotherapist with a Distinction in my degree from London Metropolitan University. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Sport Rehabilitation from St Mary’s University in Twickenham. Between my degrees, I worked in a private clinical setting, treating patients of all ages and dealing with a wide range of injuries – from neck and spinal pain to ankle sprains and everything in between.

I began working with Gaelic Football and Hurling teams, as well as Irish Dance Schools across London during my first degree. This passion for sports therapy has continued, and I’ve gained experience working with amateur athletes juggling full-time jobs or school commitments. This has given me a well-rounded approach, from immediate injury treatment to helping athletes return to match fitness and competition performance, as well as addressing injuries related to activities outside of their sport. These sports have been a part of my family for years, and I’m proud to continue the tradition.

My foundation in sport injuries paved the way for opportunities with professional rugby teams like London Irish RFC and Harlequins FC, as well as working with Principal ballet dancers at the London Coliseum.

My curiosity about injury rehabilitation and re-injury prevention from an early age began through my own injuries as a competitive Irish dancer, netball player, horse rider and high jumper which saw me pick up my own injuries and feeling the prolonged effect they had when they weren’t treated properly. This meant I prematurely hung up my competitive dancing shoes but I’m always still up for an occasional jig! Nowadays in my free time I love going to the gym, going for treks both on foot and on horseback and travelling to as many new places as I can!

    Specialisation:

I have a particular interest in biomechanics and how our individual movements may be contributing to or a result of an injury; and then how we can work together to re-learn correct movement patterns to allow the body to be in the best position to recover and avoid re-injury in the future. The specific injuries I specialise in are spinal injuries, neck pain, ankle sprains, rotator cuff injuries and tendinopathies throughout the body.

    Approach:

Despite the range of clientele I’ve worked with, my main focus in every treatment with all patients has always remained the same; to restore pain-free movement and to provide each individual with specific rehabilitation programme to avoid a repeat of their injury. I believe it’s important not to only just fix a problem, but to come back and be even stronger than before.

I like to work with a huge element of education because I’d like you to understand your injury and the reasoning for why we do particular exercises and treatments, this helps you on a day-to-day basis so you can continue your physiotherapy outside of the treatment room and we can see better results.
