Lauren Oliver
About Me:
I’m a Nutritional Therapist with a background as a qualified physiotherapist, and a passion for helping people improve their health, recovery, and long-term well-being. My interest in food began in childhood, growing up with parents who were chefs, and has continued to develop through my love of travelling and exploring different cuisines.
My focus on nutrition and its impact on health deepened after the birth of my children, which led me to explore more holistic approaches to health and ultimately to train as a nutritional therapist. My experience now shapes the way I support clients, combining evidence-based nutrition with a practical understanding of how the body responds to movement and everyday life. I enjoy working closely with clients to support meaningful changes that contribute to positive, long-term health and well-being.
Specialisation:
I have a particular interest in how nutrition can support rehabilitation and recovery, alongside digestive and hormonal health. I work to explore how nutrition, lifestyle factors, and wider body systems may be influencing symptoms, recovery, and wellbeing, and how targeted, realistic changes can support the body’s ability to heal and function optimally.
Approach:
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition, and I recognise that everyone is individual. My work considers your symptoms, how they affect your everyday life, and how nutrition can be adapted in a realistic and supportive way to meet your personal needs and goals. Working as part of the Bodylogics team allows nutrition care to integrate closely with physiotherapy and other services, supporting a holistic approach to your health and recovery.
Services Offered:
I offer a range of nutrition appointments tailored to individual needs and goals. This includes general dietary guidance to support everyday health, and appointments focused on supporting rehabilitation and recovery. I also offer comprehensive nutrition consultations, which involve working together over a period of time to explore the underlying drivers of your health conditions and symptoms and develop personalised, targeted nutrition strategies to support your goals in a realistic and lasting way.
Expertise:
- Comprehensive health and systems assessment – Taking a whole-body view to understand your symptoms within the context of interconnected body systems, using functional testing where appropriate to build a clearer picture and better support your individual needs.
- Evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle guidance – Using the most up-to-date nutrition science to provide practical, realistic guidance that supports your health, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.
- Education and ongoing support – Offering clear guidance and continued support to help you understand your nutrition and feel confident applying and maintaining changes over time.
Why Choose To Work With Me?
I offer a calm, supportive, and evidence-based approach to nutrition that focuses on understanding you as an individual. By working together and placing a strong emphasis on building understanding, I support you in making realistic changes that align with your health, recovery, and long-term well-being.
