About Gemma | BSc MSc MBAcC MRCHM:
With a BSc in Acupuncture and an MSc in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the University of Westminster, London, I am a fully qualified and insured member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM). I also proudly hold membership with the Fertility Network, reflecting my commitment to supporting all on their fertility journey.
Since 2010 my career as a student and qualified Acupuncturist has spanned various settings, including private medical laser clinic, a multibed clinic, volunteering within the NHS pain clinic, and collaborating with Neal’s Yard Remedies. I have also gained advanced training in Taiwan University Hospital, Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture with John Tindall and Acuregen, and provided group and one to one treatments for The Disability Foundation charity. I am registered with major insurance providers, including Allianz, Aviva, AXA, Vitality Health and WPA.
Specialisation:
I am experienced in understanding how stress, lifestyle, and environmental factors impact physical and emotional health. My expertise covers a wide range of conditions, including:
Fertility (natural and assisted conception)
Pregnancy support (back pain, pelvic pain, labour preparation)
Postnatal care and support for new mothers
Musculoskeletal pain and inflammation (acute & chronic)
Headaches & migraines
Digestive health
Sleep issues
Emotional regulation and stress management
Approach:
I practice Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with a focus on treating the root cause of conditions, rather than addressing individual symptoms. This holistic approach promotes long-lasting results by supporting your natural constitution.
Each treatment is tailored to you as an individual, utilising a combination of techniques including acupuncture (body, scalp, auricular), guasha, massage, moxibustion, and cupping, depending on your needs.
Why Choose To Work With Me?
Chinese Medicine is not just my profession—it is my passion and a way of life. I believe in the power of balance, not just through acupuncture but also through herbal medicine, mindful nutrition, exercise, and mindset.
In addition to one-on-one sessions, I offer popular group acupuncture sessions focusing on auricular and scalp points. These relaxed sessions are an excellent introduction to acupuncture or a way to complement your private treatments.
I look forward to being a part of your wellness journey, helping you achieve balance and vitality.
