James graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with a Masters degree in Osteopathy during which time he also gained qualifications in Sports and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy and kinesiology taping. Since then he has undertaken additional training in spinal biomechanics and the rehabilitation of patients suffering from low back pain.
James has previously treated patients in a range of specialist clinics which have included working with chronically ill patients at the Royal Free Hospital and providing free Osteopathic care to the homeless in South London. James now splits his time treating between London and Hertfordshire where he sees a range of patients and athletes with a wide variety of musculo-skeletal issues.
With over 25 years’ experience training, competing in and teaching martial arts James particularly enjoys working with combat athletes at all levels. He currently operates as a Sports Injury Specialist for the British Karate Federation medical team.
In addition to sports injuries, James is particularly interested in the contribution Osteopathy can make to the identification and management of rheumatic conditions and respiratory dysfunctions. He feels passionately about the role of Osteopathy in preventative medicine and promoting the power of movement for health, happiness and longevity.
