Gemma Wood

Gemma is a fully qualified Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbal Medicine practitioner holding a BSc in Acupuncture and an MSc in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the University of Westminster. A member of the British Acupuncture Council, the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and the Fertility Network, and registered with all main insurance providers, her credentials reflect a depth of specialist knowledge that is rare in a private clinic setting.

Since qualifying in 2010, Gemma has built her career across private practice, NHS pain clinics, charitable work with The Disability Foundation, and advanced training at Taiwan University Hospital, giving her a breadth of clinical experience that spans musculoskeletal pain, fertility support, pregnancy care, headaches, digestive health, sleep and emotional wellbeing. She also holds advanced training in Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture, further extending the range of conditions she is able to treat.

Gemma practises Traditional Chinese Medicine with a focus on treating root causes rather than isolated symptoms, using a combination of acupuncture, guasha, moxibustion, cupping and massage tailored entirely to the individual. For Gemma, Chinese Medicine is not simply a profession, it is a way of life, and that genuine passion for balance and holistic wellbeing is something every patient feels from the very first session.
